The Shearer's Retreat has two lovely eco shepherds huts , The Musterers Hut and The Shearer's Hut .
Set in separate fields, both huts enjoy a feeling of peace and isolation. Situated to provide panoramic view of the verdant Carmarthenshire countryside.
Yet close enough for joint bookings.
The Musterer's Hut
The Musterer's hut sit in the corner of a 3 acre field, with fabulous views over the Carmarthenshire countryside.
At this off-grid shepherds hut, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay. Guests can drive up to the hut, and park behind it.
Inside, the hut there is plenty of room for two to enjoy a meal at the breakfast bar, or cosy up on the bench beside the wood burner. All the essentials are there, fridge, hob, kettle, cutlery, crockery, tea, coffee, salt and pepper grinders, down to the kitchen sink which has hot and cold running water. A portable power station is supplied for charging electrical devices.
The double bed, which is made-up ready for guests is slightly longer than normal, it's the length of a king, with a super comfy made-to-measure mattress.
After enjoying the delights of the countryside, guests can enjoy a hot shower in the bathroom, which also has a eco-dry toilet and hand basin.
Outside, guests can sit out on the outdoor furniture to relax, dine, star gaze, beside the firepit. Or soak in the outdoor bath.
Linen and towels are all included to make your stay more enjoyable. Also provided is a bucket of wood, more is a available for purchase.
The Shearer's Hut
Our gorgeous off grid shepherds hut with its comfy double bed, ensuite shower and toilet, sits in a corner of a field in over 100 areas of farm and woodland. Snuggle up by the wood burner, sit around the fire pit and check out the stars or enjoy cooking your meals outdoor on the gas cooker. .
The Shearer's Hut has a comfy double bed, all made up ready for you, ensuite shower and flush toilet, hot and cold running water, the led lights run off a portable power station which also offers guests a place to charge their mobile devises. Heating is from the wood burner, which in the cooler months will be laid ready for you.
Cutlery, crockery, pots, cooking utensils and the cool box are in the granite topped kitchenette cupboards, the Belfast sink has a hot and cold running water, the chairs are in the storage cupboard under the bed.
Outside is a covered gas camp cooker for cooking, fire pit and there is seating inside and out. Linen and towels are all included to make your stay more enjoyable. Also provided is a bucket of wood, more is a available for purchase.

On arrival there will be a set amount of firewood provided, guests who require more can purchase wood at the site.

Being off-grid the shepherds huts are a bit different to other properties. There is no mains electrics for charging cars or e-bike, but portable power stations are supplied to charge electric devises such as mobile phones. Lights, water pumps and the toilets are on a 12volt system, for this reason you might notice the lights flicker when all systems are activated at the same time.
